EChO is really excited to have found a passion that combines both the freedom of acrobatics and expressiveness of dance. She began as a competitive artistic gymnast at American Twisters and included a solid dance discipline for technique and articulation. After completing a BS in philosophy at Smith College, she began aerial under the mentorship of Arachne Aerial Arts. Recently, she has been seen flying in the Baltimore Aerial Festival (October, 2009) presenting “Eve’s Serpent” an aerial net piece and “Shashaloza” a double-silk duet piece. She also performed “Shashaloza” with Nina Charity in September 2009 at the African Arts Smithsonian for “Community Day”.
